by TOKYO — Sony Group has transferred production of cameras offered within the Japanese, U.S. and European markets to Thailand from China, half of rising efforts by producers to guard provide chains by lowering their Chinese dependence.
Sony’s plant in China will in precept produce cameras for the home market. Until now, Sony cameras had been exported from China and Thailand. The web site will retain some production services to be introduced again on-line in emergencies.
