State Farm, Progressive refusing to cover certain Hyundai, Kia models

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Some Kia and Hyundai house owners could have a tough time getting insurance coverage.

State Farm and Progressive are usually not writing new insurance policies on certain autos in some markets. 

The drawback is that some models of autos are too straightforward to steal.

Affected autos embrace these manufactured between 2015 and 2019 that do not have immobilizers to stop the car from beginning if a key is just not current.

Both corporations mentioned the choice solely applies to new insurance policies, and present policyholders can proceed renewing their insurance coverage.
