ALBANY, N.Y. – After practically three years, individuals enrolled in the state’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) will cease receiving extra benefits after February.
Since April 2020, SNAP recipients have been getting no less than $95 additional in their month-to-month benefits to offset the financial impacts of the pandemic. Federal funding has been used to assist the extra funds.
According to the state, the supplemental benefits will be issued in January however will end after February’s cost.
In March, recipients will return to receiving their often month-to-month profit quantity.
