(NEXSTAR) — An H-E-B “hack” has been blowing peoples’ minds on social media.
Last week, TikTok person Lucy Huynh (@Lucystylezz) shared a video revealing a “secret” seafood service offered by Texas’ favourite grocery retailer: Customers can get seafood seasoned and steamed without spending a dime if the gadgets are bought at H-E-B’s Fish Market.
Huynh’s video, which at present has over 2 million views, exhibits an H-E-B worker confirming the market’s coverage after Huynh “went to HEB to examine” if the rumor was true. (It’s price noting that Huynh’s video is marked as being a “paid partnership.”)
Judging by the replies, many Texans have been pleasantly stunned by the coverage.
“I labored at HEB and didn’t know this,” one person joked.
H-E-B instructed Nexstar most of its seafood service departments can steam fish, and that almost all provide three seasonings — Old Bay, lemon pepper and Creole.
“This is a service we’ve been proud to supply clients for a few years,” H-E-B instructed Nexstar Thursday. “A couple of taking part shops can even present crawfish boils in entrance of our shops throughout the crawfish season (sometimes beginning in February).”
H-E-B mentioned among the seafood gadgets which can be finest steamed are lobster, crab and shrimp.
Plenty of viewers on TikTok, naturally, shared their intentions to go to an H-E-B and take a look at the steamed seafood choices for themselves — although hopefully not unexpectedly.
“Y’all about to have these staff careworn,” one person joked.
